Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
Picked up my baby girl quilt today from my long-armer, Vicki. It is BEAUTIFUL! She said she found it romantic, so that is what I will call it! Now if only one of the babies coming this fall would be a GIRL! BTW - our 5th great-grandchild, Gabriel Anthony, was born 8/19/12 almost 7 weeks premature. We are praying for him and his parents!
She did some meandering on the insides, crossed the charm pack squares, and put "feathers" around the outside. I have some pretty bright floral (matching) fabric for the binding. When I put it next to the backing, well, I was less than impressed. I am going to look at it for a couple of days and decide if I want to put that on, or maybe find another Moda Dogwood fabric for it. I did see some at the fabric store the other day. So, here are pictures!

Comment by Cheri Foster on September 7, 2012 at 6:21pm Sue all three of my children were premies, and they are doing fine. My oldest was 3 weeks early and he weighed 5 lbs 4 oz. My middle son was 3 months and 1 week early, he weighed only 2 lbs 3 oz when he was born and was blue, but he took one little squeaky breath and they hooked him up to life support. My youngest son was born 2 1/2 months early and he weighed 2 lbs 13 oz. He needed some help breathing but was a little trooper. My oldest is now 36, the middle son is 35 and the youngest is 34. God can do some amazing thing. That is why I get so made when they say a fetus is not a baby.
