Fabulous show, Grand Rapids!  I really enjoyed the 250 quilts on display, their variety and styles, colors, etc.  Unbelievable!

I now have at least 3 quilts I want to make - one I may call "Sunshine" which will be a mini-wall hanging (no picture, my idea); one like this one but a variation maybe, of a Frank Lloyd Wright window (my husband LOVES FLW), and this blue and white one below -  but maybe as a Twister quilt???

Many more pictures, but I can't post them all.  I hope if you are in West or Central Michigan (not the college, the general geographic area!) you took advantage of this very inexpensive show!  And, I will let you know if my $6 in raffle tickets nets me one of the remarkable quilts being raffled off for charity!

i sorta wish i had a "real"job! lol my job goes 24/7/365-6!! :)) gets old real fast. both this house and the last. oh well...sombody needs to do this stuff...if not the whole shebang will just slide off/over the cliff!! i am home 24/7...and still don't have time to sew or quilt or any hand work. my brain is sometimes just churning when i should be sleeping...before, when hubby away on jobs, i could get up in middle of night and work on my hand quilting, in my sewing room on whatever project...but now it would wake him up...he needs sleep...up at 3:30a leave before 5a to go earn the paycheck that buys my paint/nails/pipe fittings and glue ..etc etc :(( .. so i be good ..lay there w the churning brain that will eventually stop long enough for a few hours sleep for me...and a good nights sleep for him...:))

i have never read any fictional bio of flw....just lots of bios re: his life, schools, designs etc. fascinating stuff. send me the title of the book? didn't know there was one! i have been cutting out pics of his windows for years for my "idea" file.

My husband has seen the home out west, a great story there (he had a ghost experience).  Did you read the book about his life, can't remember the name, fictional history?  It was good!  I've bookmarked a quilt book on Amazon that this FLW quilt was patterned from, and hope to get it soon.

Will know about the job this week, I think.  I'll be glad for the additional $$$ but I also love being home 24/7.  Quilting will suffer, I suppose.  I have my last baby quilt on my design wall, anxious to get to it.  I need to go out to lunch with friends less, or something.  Certainly CLEANING is not taking any time at all!  LOL!
