today, january 4th is national trivia day according to little holidays for january thingy in my monthly power co-op magazine. so .. since my poor 'ol brain fairly roars w a lifetime collection of trivia, i will only post my earliest memory of my vast collection. :))
did you know that it was found, thru examination of fossil remains, that dinoaurs suffered from arthritis? always makes me feel better knowing that such big BIG beasties also ached on rainy days! lol
oh...did you know that at some point in the sixties the longest word in the medical dictionary was "pnuemonultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis"?
took me all afternoon to memorize the spelling on that one. and have spent many gleeful moments annoying friends w the word ever since. with the advances in medical science and new diseases i don't know it is any longer the longest word. that's ok...it is still fun!
oh! oh! did you know that alexander the great ordered his entire army to shave their heads and beards? he believed that the long hair would make it too easy for enemies to grab and cut off their heads.
uhoh...gotta stop before the flow becomes an uncontrollable deluge!
any way...happy national trivia day :)) !!
