Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
On Friday, March 10, I drove from Champaign, IL to St. Joseph, Michigan to attend a class at Accomplish Quilting on Saturday, March 11th. It was the first class for training on my new Innova machine. There were about 8 others in the class and some ladies brought their husbands with them. We got to know each other and learn more about our machines. Accomplish Quilting sells more than just Innova's and so they had others there who were learning more about their Gammill machines or other machines.
I got up early on Saturday morning, and got to class right at 9:00 a.m. and after learning some of the awesome things that have already helped me in my quilting and understanding of my machine, we got to 'doodle' to see how the tension was, and play while Julie was helping others.
I had a good time 'shopping' while I was there too. Got more bobbins, thread, a duster, another book by Angela Walters, and more! I can't wait to go back for my 2-day training in April, but in the meantime, I have the opportunity to learn at a 3-day class from Jamie Wallen because my awesome quilting friend, Joy Voltenburg, won the grand prize of taking some of her friends to a 3-day private instruction class for FREE!! Soooooo exciting! Can't wait for this - AND he uses an Innova machine too! How awesome is that? Here's a picture of my doodling at Accomplish Quilting.
