Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
This past week we have been fortunate to have friends from Northern Illinois visit us. She and I have been BFF's since the age of 12. Since high school graduation we have never lived near each other, but distance has not dulled the friendship. When we are together time disappears and it is like we just saw each other.( Thank goodness for computers and cell phone. lol) She and her husband were high school sweethearts and will celebrate 52 years of marriage this December. She and I are so fortunate that the two guys have developed a great friendship also. So it was a true joy to have them as houseguests for a week. The old adage of fish and company does not apply to them. lolol.
She is a quilter, by the way, and is totally to blame for my quilting addiction. We managed to visit all of the quilt shops in my area and even made a second trip to one. We both have lighter wallets today and the debit cards also were put to good use. We did our bit to help the economy. Now I can't wait until I complete my four projects that are 'screaming' finish me so I can dig into the new stuff. I bought some great fabric including more batiks to finish the 'Modern Mystery Quilt' that so many of the MQP quilters are making. What fun.
