If you have never heard of the "foldy stuff" method, google "Donna Poster". This is a technique she came up with to make pineapple and log cabin blocks. She probably has more patterns than those two, but they are the ones I purchased. It is a simple and fun method and no need for accurate 1/4 inch seams - very forgiving method. I would say especially good for beginning quilters.
