I thought I would school myself to do a blog close to the end of every month...but as usual, life got in the way.
The quilt top I finished in January just came back from the longarmer and is stunning, I am sooo happy with the stitching she chose to use. It's just a simple all over meander but is the perfect choice for this quilt. I have it trimmed and ready for the binding to get sewn on.
We've been so busy trying to get things done around this house in the last couple months that I've barely gotten in my sewing room. Was able to spend parts of the the last couple days in there and accomplished quite a bit. Have already sent off one of my handmade cards and a fat quarter for my BIG FAT BIRTHDAY SWAP and have all but 2 packaged for the 5" Swap.
The Hubs leaves on his annual trek north for his fishing trip with his brothers in a couple days and then my friend comes for a weeks stay. I am greatly looking forward to her visit, we will quilt some, visit some quilt shops, sit by the pool, etc!! I will go back with her when she returns to Wisconsin and she will drop me off with The Hubs, and he and I will camp for a week while he teaches a group of high schoolers to fly fish.
I am so very thankful I found "My Quilt Place", it has provided some wonderful fabric swaps, quilting encouragements and the start of some great friendships.
