I just finished making this replica of an Antique String-Pieced Eight-Pointed Star. The pattern is from Circa 1890 according "Scrap Patchwork & Quilting " by Marti Michell published in 1992.  I made it by pulling material from my scrap bag. I wish my scrap bag would get smaller but it just seems to grow. Oh well I guess that just means I''m sewing a lot. I love variety and this was really fun to make.
