Something Stitched--UFO/WIP

Several years ago I bought a box of hand stitched vintage dresden plate quilt blocks at the estate auction of a local philanthropist.  The outer curved edge and center were turned under and basted ready for applique to a background block.  the plates are almost 16" in diameter.  There are 18 of them.  None of them lie flat.  They are stained but not worn or faded.  There are small prints , large prints, feedsacks, geometrics and novelties.

Sewing Room Texas

As an introvert I am not used to sharing my thoughts with the "world" so this is my new beginning.  I will start with the  sewing room that my husband is building for me at our winter home in Texas. He wants me to stay longer in Texas than is my preference thus a separate room for keeping me happy.  And happy I am!! It has windows positioned to get the morning and afternoon sun and gulf breezes. Stacked Squares
