I just read "Still Alice" by LIsa Gavin.  It's a quick read and I read it in one day.   I highly recommend it, very thought provoking.Continue

I'm a quilter, a bird watcher and a flower lover. I used to love to garden, but my arthritis has limited that to just container gardening. Quilt shows are my favorite day trips.

Christmas Rush

I can't believe another Christmas is almost upon us.   My daughter does longarm quilting and of course she always gets a lot of quilts to do before Christmas.   I do any bindings that need to be done so sometimes we are both feeling the pressure to get them done in time.   Yesterday we got the last "need it for Christmas" quilt done and sent home.   That is always a joy for both of us.  Now on to the chex mix, the rice krispie treats and gingerbread houses.   Merry Christmas and Happy…

If there's one thing grandkids are always willing to share w/me it's their colds.  Ugh, scratchy throat and drippy nose.   I'm sure I will be too much "under the weather" to do anything like housework tomorrow.   Maybe I should just sit and rest and do some hand sewing.

Lazy Sunday

My daughter's delicious home-made lasagna for dinner today.   The seven of us pretty much wiped out a huge pan of it.   Now home again.   Ready for my feet up,  a cup of good hot tea, and the last couple chapters of the book I've been reading.   Tomorrow back to reality, but today, sublime.
