I Got This

t's been a long while since I visited this site and I have missed the creativity, advice,  and conversations you all give. It was a rough winter, not only weather wise (I din't mind that, the one benefit to cold and snow is more quilting time), but I lost my son in December to a horrible brain disease. My son was developmentally delayed and suffered from a disease much like ALS.  He was my "special" needs son. He was special. but not because of his illness or disabilities, he was special…See More

Ideas for Memorial Quilt for My 2 Year Old Grandson

Posted on February 16, 2013 at 6:35pm 8 Comments

After not working on my quilting project due to a family emergency, I think I need to get back to it. I find sewing and quilting takes my mind off my thoughts and gives me some targeted direction. As soon as I finish my current project, I am going to design a memorial quilt for my grandson. I would love to hear some ideas from everyone. When you live with a quilter, your life hangs by a thread.....

Posted on January 20, 2013 at 11:31pm 3 Comments

By the looks of the floor in my sewing area, it has been a very productive weekend. I see stray threads that were cut and mindlessly dropped.
