Tell us about yourself
Well I'm a wife, mother of 2,one boy (18) and a girl (15). On my third and final marriage, they say third time is a charm, and I believe it. We live on a small farm in KY. I raise chickens, for pets not to eat. LOL! I like to hang out with my family, camping, 4-wheeling, hunting, and now quilting. My sister-in-law was in a quilting group, I told her that I would like to learn how one day. Needless to say my husband paid for me to join as a Christmas present in 2011 and I started Jan 2012. I think the ladies thought I didn't know how to sew, they were surprised at how well I caught on. My grandmother, rest her soul taught me quite a bit. We just never got around to quilting. Now I take my 15 year old daughter with me and between me and the group she is getting it down, and doing a great job at it. Very proud of her.
How many quilts have you made?
I have 2 wall hangins, 4 quilts for kids done. Then I have 3 tops done, one is a wall hanging, one king size bed, 2 quilts for kids and a table runner. More projects cut out and ready to go.
Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?
both
How long have you been a quilter?
Just started in Jan 2012
What is your favorite quilting technique?
so far I have only been machine quilting
Why do you quilt?
Something I have always wanted to learn, and my grandmother passed away before she could show me.
