Knocking out UFO's one at a time

All of us have those UFO's - a lot we've forgotten completely about.  In looking through my stash for reproduction fabric for my mom, I came across a bunch more UFO's that I had completely forgotten about. So my goal is to finish some of those up before starting anything else.  Several months ago I started the Twisted Bargello.  Walked away from it and all but closed the sewing room door.  Finally things have settled down to a nice routine again and I was able to spend yesterday in the sewing…See More

"For $47 a day here in Wichita you can rent an aerator Karen.  You might check with a company in your area that rents out equipment and see if they have one.  If you have a sprinkler system though it'll destroy your heads so if you do,…"

"Hi Ladies,   Riana, please post a picture of the Southern Ladies. Sounds like an interesting quilt :)   For the longest time I sewed on the dining room/kitchen table.  Would get so frustrated, because I'd sew for a while and then…"

My Personal UFO Challenge for Memorial Weekend

Lots of UFO's.  I've joined the UFO group and plan on starting the two different challenges in June.  However, I'm going to make a personal challenge just for this weekend.  I'm going to set a goal of 4 UFO's to have completed by the end of Monday!  I've already got a start on one. Starting easy.  I chose a wall hanging that's one of 8 projects - ranging from queen to wall hanging size - to put the binding on.  Tomorrow it'll be to have the children's quilt for Quilts For Kids quilted, binded…See More

2013 Starting the Year off with a Bang

Posted on January 6, 2013 at 8:40pm 5 Comments

This year I'm wanting to finish up some of the UFO's that we all seem to have lurking around the sewing rooms.  I'd set a goal and say one a month, however, am going to be realistic about it, and if I get any done, great.  If not, they'll be there for another year!!

Today the Child's Delight orange quilt is done! It was started in late 2012 so isn't one of those that's been in the sewing room for very long.  This one is going to Quilts for Kids organization.

The 16 blocks for…
