Acelest Bianca said… I am new at quilting but since I have seen your work it has inspired me to try and perfect the beauty of hand quilting. So I am currently only practicing on whole cloth. I only wish I had half of your talent. Your work is stunning, you must be so proud. I am young and have only just begun. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work, I will remember you forever. God bless!
I see you're up early too. My sewing room looks neat, but I DO have another storage closet filled with bins(organized) of batting & larger yardages. Under the cutting table is my portable stash of prints (in bins similar to the ones on rack),. I take those along in the RV winters, along with enough solids taken off the minibolts to get me by for the kid's quilts I do for hospitals.

Best to you both.

Sharon Britt said… I machine quilt most of the small ones. The bigger bed size quilts I send out to a long arm quilter. Thanks for the compliments, yours are awesome too!
Cait Payne said… Hi Orville,
Thanks, I really am a novice quilter, and receiving your kind words has given me such a lift.
We have an Irish connection too !! How lovely.
Although now living in Ireland, I was born in England to Irish parents. So finally full circle I am back to my roots.

carla j walton said… oh my! thank you so much for sharing the pictures of the quilt show. it's absolutely stunning to me what people do with fabric. anyone who feels that quilting is not an art should attend one of these quilt shows. it would quickly make a believer out of them.
Candy Wilcox Koharchik said… Orville, I'm very pleased to meet you! I'm thrilled to see a guy who can appreciate quilts, and make them besides. My hubby doesn't have an eye for art of any sort, so it's nice to see a male perspective on my work :). And someday, if I work really hard, maybe my quilting will be as wonderful as yours.
Annette Boersma said… Orville, I just want to tell you that I always love seeing your posts and pictures. They inspire me! I don't always make a comment, but each one has it's own beauty and I love them!
