Nice to meet you on MQP - We have probably more than one thing in common, I mean except enjoying quilting I think that your native language is French just like mine, isn't it ? I am a French speaking Belgian and I hope that we'll come to know each other better through this group - Happy quilting !

Hi,
Thanks for accepting my friend request. What type of applique do you like most ? Hand or machine applique. I would love to learn to do both.
Hi Martine! Thanks for writing back! There are so many friendly hand helpful people here and it amazes me how much great advice I've received in the month I've been on this site.
You are so lucky to have a quilt guild! I live in a really small town and there are no guilds, quilting groups or classes, so I had to teach myself how to quilt. I used books and the internet and managed to figure it out. That's partly why I came to this site...to meet other quilters and learn new things. It's hard being the only quilter I know and I thought this place would be a great place to meet people...and it has been! I hope you'll join some of the groups and visit the forum; that's how I met most of the quilters I know. Plus, I like to welcome new members!
What kind of work do you do? I used to be a bookkeeper, but I had to quit working because of an injury. I sure miss the money, but the good side is that I'm able to have more time to quilt.
Anyway, thanks again for writing back and I hope to hear from you soon!
Hi Martine! I'm Bridget and I live in Seaside, Oregon. I've been quilting for almost 6 years and I really love it! I joined this website a month ago because I don't know any quilters and I thought it would be fun to meet others who shares my love of quilting. I've met so many nice ladies so far! I joined several groups right after I joined and then I started a group for newer quilters (newbies). I make a lot of quilts to donate; mainly to children's charities. I love working with fun, bright prints!
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and welcome!
