Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
Kathy Samson said… There was not one quilt I didn't love, beautiful quilts! Your applique is stunning.
Hi Margaret! Thanks for adding me as a friend!
Are you planning on joining any of the groups? The forum seems busier than the groups...I think it's probably because you don't have to join the forum. I kind of don't get what the difference is! Oh well...I post to groups and the forum! I'm here too much, but since this is all new to me it's a novelty. I've been here every day since I joined (the end of April). There are so many quilts to look at and I can spend a few hours just doing that!
Anyway, thanks again for adding me as a friend!
I have tried making a yo-yo using the Clover YoYo tool, but I should have bought the basic circle. Instead I bought the flower one and haven't had any luck. Plus, something about hand sewing bugs me...I just don't seem to have the patience for it! Once I saw a queen size quilt that was made using only yoyo's...it was amazing!
You're so lucky to get to belong to a guild! I sure wish we had one around here; I thought about getting one started, but I think it would be too overwhelming for me to try on my own.
Your pictures are really beautiful! What talent!!
Love ya!
Oh good! I see you added some pictures! There's one that looks like it's applique'...is it? I've only made one entirely appliqued quilt but I didn't want to. My mom requested it for her birthday last year. I have a hard time quilting around everything, which is why I don't like applique'!
Have fun making your way around here! It took me awhile to figure it out, but I've got the hang of it now! Hope to run into you in one of the groups!
Hi Margaret! I've been here for a few weeks now and am really enjoying it. I live in a small Oregon town without a quilt guild, and after 5 years of quilting I decided I needed the interaction with other quilters. This is the only social networking site I belong to. I love making quilts for gifts, donations and to sell. I enjoy making quilts for sick kids; I never got to have kids and love using kiddie fabrics. I also make quilts for the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative, and I too love free motion quilting!
I just wanted to say hello and welcome!
Hi Margaret,
Nice to see you on here. Next you'll have to post pics of your beautiful quilts.
