Hi Lucy, I haven't been on, but several of the ladies are.  Hope you found what you needed in fabric.

welcome to mqp and the world of quilting, lucy. it does help when pursueing the quilty past-time to be "not to domestic". it works better than blinders for ignoreing the accumulation of thread snippets, furry floors from our critters. also good to have a less that perfect sense of smell when the roast is burning and the pasta turns to mush as we become involved w a mesmerizing project that we just DON'T want to set aside for domesticity type stuff. :)) i too pretty much make for a purpose. tho i stash and always will. i buy when the opportunity strikes - wander in to a going out of business sale, discontinued stock close outs or fabulous stashes at estate & yard sales. then when i need for a project, i just go wade thru the stash :))
