Tell us about yourself—as much or as little as you like.
I started sewing when I was about 10 and received a Singer Featherweight Sewing Machine for Christmas. Sewing is in my family history although my own mother did not sew. My Grandmother and Aunt were terrific sewers. I enjoy making patchwork quilts with many different fabrics. I enjoy sampler quilts and quilts using different blocks. I think a quilt of the same pattern and each block using the same fabrics and colors is boring. I just returned from Alaskan Quilting Cruise with Joan Ford as the instructor and had a great time. I donate a lot of my quilts to charitable functions. Project Lucas and local fire victims in my area. I was the chairperson of my quilting guild for Philanthropic quilts. Sewing relaxes me, I have to think of what I'm doing instead of any problems I might have.
