"I so love yours. I saw that there is a quilt along for making the Joseph's Coat Quilt. I think it would be a wonderful year project. It would also be a great way to use some of my stash. Thank you so much for the info and inspiration. "

"I was able to use my portable design wall for awhile but it is only 70x70 and this quilt is way over that so after awhile it had to be moved to the floor every time I needed to work on layout - I also took photos and that helped too."

"the most difficult thing about this quilt was keeping the color layout correctly - no wall space so I designed it by laying out diagonal lines on the floor, pinning them in stacks then hand stitch and lay it out again for the next row.  Yes it…"

Scrappy quilts

Posted on March 10, 2012 at 7:30pm 0 Comments

I am working on way too many things at the moment and I added a new one this week - why oh why do I do this - I bet a lot of you do too!!

Pineapple Square, pineapple blocks are paper pieced, the applique is glue basted in place right now and will be needle turn applique by hand.  This will be a wall hanging or a table topper - it is about 34 inches square.…

I wonder what all of you are working on?  I work on a variety of projects - today I was hand quilting on my Star Crazy quilt.  It is on my big 3 roller quilting frame.  If you click on the link (star crazy highlighted) it will take you to my personal blog - on the side bar on the right there is a link to Star Crazy and you can find more photos of it if you wish.…

thank you everyone for the comments on my photos that I have posted the last couple of days.  I have been so busy that I have not had time to answer all.  My 87 year old mother has had a lot of health problems the last two months and has been in the hospital 3 times.  She finally decided to move to assisted living in to a small studio apartment.  We just moved her today.  She lives 2 1/2 hours away from me near some of my siblings - no one had a house though that was wheelchair accessible or…

If anyone is interested in the New York Beauty pattern if you go to Ulas Quilt Page - a German Blogger she has patterns for print in pdf format.  This link leads to the New York Beauty.

I do not know if I will make it but I have printed the patterns out - I believe there were ten of them - # 5 did not print - nothing opened for it, but the rest are beautiful!!

When I first came here in April I was totally lost.  I don't use facebook or groups or anything, so this was all new to me.  After a few weeks I started figuring things out.  Once I joined some of the groups it was much easier meeting people and now I come here every day!

Happy birthday, Karen~I hope you have a wonderful day!

I'm Bridget and I live in Seaside, Oregon.  I never learned how to sew until I made a quilt six years ago and I was hooked from there; I only wish I'd have learned sooner (I'm 50).  I joined this site back in April in hopes of meeting other quilters as I don't have any real life quilting friends.  This is the next best thing; I've met so many wonderful people!  Everyone has been so friendly and helpful!

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and happy birthday!

I just joined My Quilt Place a few weeks ago and I found that everyone is very nice.  I received such a warm welcome that I feel that I should do the same to new members.  I think you will find lots of great places and wonderful ideas on this site.
