So I am about halfway through my 3 day weekend that I had planned to use solely for quilting on that stack of UFO's...how have I fared?
Well, one is finished--only had to bind it...another is in the machine and hopefully will be finished tonight.
In the meantime, I have realized that when i woke up first at 5:30 am, I should have gotten up and stayed up instead of burrowing further under the covers and sleeping til 10...My daughter didn't get up til 8:30, she says....so that…

Thank goodness I have one more this year....planning on taking it mid Sept. as both sons will be back at school by then, and the 5th grader too....just me and hubby, so when I get up to get daughter on the bus in the morning, hopefully I can motivate myself to get something done at my sewing table.....the last vacations, including the one just ending, have been nothing but run for everyone else....either job hunting, graduation stuff, going off to college shopping trips....etc....ready for…

Tomorrow is meet and greet at my 5th grader's school---classes start Monday. Thursday I take my younger son to college 4 hrs away and 10 days later the older son goes back to college in PA.....yep summer is winding down and I have nothing to show for it except a couple of minor sewing projects and a severely painful lower back (bad disc), hip and leg.....sigh.....

Daughter just left to go camping with grandparents for the next 4 days....I work tomorrow and then off the weekend...maybe, just maybe, I can finish binding the quilt in the machine right now and do some small projects to sell at the craft shop........just maybe..........
Daughter and I decided to try some drawstring bags in various sizes....planning on doing a couple while she is gone so I can show her what to do.....they should be really simple, so her 10 yr old "I have the…
ContinueHappy birthday, Karen~I hope you have a wonderful day!
I'm Bridget and I live in Seaside, Oregon. I joined this site at the end of April and I'm really enjoying myself! I joined several of the groups and that helped me to meet others quickly. I've been quilting for almost 6 years and mainly make quilts to donate and to sell. My favorite technique is piecework as well as machine quilting.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and happy birthday!
