I have been quilting for 30 years, since I made my first quilt for my daughter for Christmas, sewing for a few months in the middle of the night when she was sleeping. I have had several stops and starts in my quilting experience due to raising two beautiful daughters, working in the newspaper business for 17 years. Now that I am retired, I still am busy, helping raise my youngest grandaughter, Ava, now 2 very spirited years old. I want to get back into quilting on a more full time basis soon. I am forever poring over designs and planning my own patterns.
How many quilts have you made?
Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?
I like making quilts as well as collecting.
How long have you been a quilter?
What is your favorite quilting technique?
I have most experience with hand quilting, but now have the equipment to do machine quilting. I love all types of patterns and techniques that make up the experience.
Why do you quilt?
For the love of the process, for the love of the fabrics. For the love of the tradition.
