Judith, Emily's fence is made of twine and was couched with a zigzag stitch.

Good morning Judith.  I looked up Galt, CA.  My sister lives in Santa Rosa and our son is in San Jose.  We were just there for a visit.

just took another stroll thru your album of beautiful quilts. looking at your recent posts, and noticed there were several that i had not seen before. all your quilts are lovely to beautiful to stunning. i love your choices of rich colors. and i have only attempted one mystery quilt, saved directions to several and been sooo very disappointed at the images i see in mags & on net of several mystery quilts i followed. tho i am looking forward to finishing mine, my first venture into tje mystery quilt fun, & think it will be beautiful, i think it's lovelyness will be because of the fabrics i chose, not so much for the pattern design. you have so many beautifully patterned mystery quilts in your albu that you have done. i love them all. where do you find these? i don't recognize any of them. i guess i'll just keep saving directions...luck should bring me one i love eventually ...tho by waiting to see a finished one takes all the fun out of the "mystery" ...but i don't have money or fabric to spend on a quilt i don't like. and if i don't like it it isn't going to someone i care about. not even as a donation to a charity i care deeply about.

anyway...just thought i would drop by here and tell you how much i enjoyed all your wonderful quilt pics.

Hi Judith just here to introduce myself and welcome you to MQP. Are you my favorite Silk Ribbon lady?

Some times we are not sure where to visit on this site but I wanted to let you know that I have a group of gals and I that are doing several different quilts the Blooming Nine and the Jewel Box quilts. We are posting pictures with our choices of fabrics and progress. Carla Walton has done several of the Blooming Nine so she is our administrator. Come on over to view what we are doing at http://myquiltplace.com/group/batik-strip-swap/forum/topics/projects-and-pictures?xg_source=activity.

To do the Jewel Box we have a Batik Strip Swap going on and we are using those strips for the Jewel Box.
