"Well, I'm finally home. Hubby and I spent a month traveling the USA. Did some family research in Illinois, visited daughters in Texas and Florida. Saw an old friend we haven't seen in 37 years. Did book signings…"
"Hi Jan, I'm not sure where Fowlerville is. I grew up in Detroit. I have a brother who lives in Holly and a brother and sister in Macomb. Michigan is a beautiful state. I have a cousin in Stevenville and an aunt in Benton Harbor. Maybe we will…"
"Thank you Gayle and Ginny. Ginny -- here's a bigger picture of it. Unfortunately I can't step back far enough to get the whole thing in. If I go to my quilt group tomorrow I'll have them hold it up and get a picture…"
"Mary -- it was more like quilt in a few years. My neighbor emptied out her fabric closet one day and hauled it all over to my house. The background fabric was on a bolt and it sat for a long time before I decided I needed to do something…"
"Hello All. I am in again for 25 yards. This year I have a list going of all my started-but-never-saw-the-end quilts (already on the second page, sigh) and really hope to get at least a few done! This will help me. Thank you,…"
"Yes, Ginny, I agree. There were a couple of times during the year when I knew a store was having a great sale or going out of business but I stayed away. Needed to get my fabric under control. Thanks Beth for doing this."
Tell us about yourself—as much or as little as you like.
I am a writer, quilter, seamstress, and knitter. I live in the north but am fortunate to have two of my four children living in the south. I must confess though, I love winter. Skiing, skating, sledding, you name it. I hope to do the luge some day in western Michigan.
How many quilts have you made?
have lost count
Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?
Definitely want to make. Am working on three right now.
How long have you been a quilter?
since the late '70's
What is your favorite quilting technique?
machine piecing, particularly scraps
Why do you quilt?
I love taking pieces and making them into a whole. Watching how colors work together (and sometimes not).
