"Gayle -- yes, she is. I've known her for, well, more years than I want to say. A long time. My husband and I stay with her several times through out the year and our kids have grown up together. Recently when we went to…"
"Ginny -- I am hoping at the beginning of the year that my life will slow down and I'll actually be able to do some quilting. Or do anything fun, for that matter. I do have a few months before I have to have it done but I know me --…"
"I think I have created a fabric monster! I am making a quilt to be auctioned off and needed fabric with books in it. Yes, I could go on-line but I do feel one should shop locally or at brick-and-mortar stores if possible. I have…"
"No, I wouldn't think so, Gayle. I don't buy kits but my friends do. They are usually inside or on occasion they have been handed to them (kept behind the counter).
I have been working so haven't been on here much or…"

Tell us about yourself—as much or as little as you like.
I am a writer, quilter, seamstress, and knitter. I live in the north but am fortunate to have two of my four children living in the south. I must confess though, I love winter. Skiing, skating, sledding, you name it. I hope to do the luge some day in western Michigan.
How many quilts have you made?
have lost count
Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?
Definitely want to make. Am working on three right now.
How long have you been a quilter?
since the late '70's
What is your favorite quilting technique?
machine piecing, particularly scraps
Why do you quilt?
I love taking pieces and making them into a whole. Watching how colors work together (and sometimes not).
Hi Jan, I'm not sure where Fowlerville is. I grew up in Detroit. I have a brother who lives in Holly and a brother and sister in Macomb. Michigan is a beautiful state. I have a cousin in Stevenville and an aunt in Benton Harbor. Maybe we will cross paths some day.
