Tell us about yourself

I retired in 2007 so that I could spend more time with my wonderful husband. He survived lung cancer for 19 years before passing away in 2010. I still miss him every day but I have joined 2 quilt guilds that help keep me active and involved with women of like interests.

How many quilts have you made?

I have completed 3 large bed quilts and several small quilts.

Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?

I love making quilts and hope I will be able to continue for many years

How long have you been a quilter?

I started my first quilt in January, 2008.

What is your favorite quilting technique?

I like traditional piecing and hand quilting but am learning machine quilting so I can finish them faster.

Why do you quilt?

For the joy of giving to others something that I have created and to satisfy my lifetime goal of being like my grandmother
