UFOs

If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.See More

Hi I'm Fay, I'm 24 years old and from Scotland,UK. I initially got into quilting when i had my little boy as i wanted to make him a memory quilt and also leave something behind that he would have forever :) however quilting has also been a journey for me and as i think on all the good bits (matched up points) and the bad bits (mis-attached bindings) i realize its also my therapy. Its challenging and exciting and i love it. I am in the process of getting ready to quilt my first charity quilt (which will also be the largest) Ive completed the top I'm just trying to pluck up the courage to put it under my machine :)
How many quilts have you made?
6
Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?
Both
How long have you been a quilter?
about 2 years
What is your favorite quilting technique?
I enjoy learning new things but i havent found a fav quite yet.
Why do you quilt?
I quilt because it makes me happy, is challenging and hopefully brings joy to others to have a gift that is handmade and thoughtful :)

Hi Fay, nice quilt!  Well done!   The quilt in my profile picture is a mixture of two blocks: Rolling Stone and a variation of an Arrowhead Block.  Looking forward to seeing your next project! x
