I live in Maine with my husband of 25 years. He is a patient man when it comes to my sewing as it is my passion. I have 4 children and one grandchild 3 other very special children who I have in my life because of my children.
I am a heart disease survivor and WomenHeart Champion. Heart disease runs in my family and I had open heart surgery in 2007 at 47 years of age (CABGx4). Several months after my surgery I was told that the surgery was a failure, to go out on disability and wait for a heart transplant (if I didn't have a MI and die). I have been fighting back ever since and continue to work and do just about everything I want. I now embrace life to the fullest and appreciate every little thing. God is Great and I believe that I am here because there are still things he wishes for me to do....For example make more quilts, do more good and love more! Life is great and I love every second of it!
How many quilts have you made?
Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?
I love making them, using them and looking at them.
How long have you been a quilter?
About 22 years. I started with garment sewing when I was 12 which was.....about 40 years ago.
What is your favorite quilting technique?
Is there really a FAVORITE? I love them all.
Why do you quilt?
It is one of my passions. If my sewing room gave me health insurance I would quit my job! LOL
