"I am scared to do my own quilting, but I am eager to learn free motion quilting. My daughter has a longarm quilting machine but I would love to learn to do my own as she has so many of her own to do."

"Thank you Karen for liking my pinwheel quilt, I think I will leave the buttons off, if I knew that they would only use as a wall hanging then it would be fine, but I do not want to take the chance with whoever buys the quilt"

UFOs

If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.See More

Debbie:  It is only scary in the beginning.  Start off with something simple.  Leah Day has lots of great information on beginning.  There is lots of you tube videos out there.  My recommendation is not to start with something you want perfect, because it just not come out perfect the first few times.  Doing a simple meander is a great way to get the feel of the machine and how to get your stitch correct length.  Once you master that, do loops, circles, and shapes like that.  Then from there, do some feathers.  You are going to have fun.  If all else fails, message me.
