The wedding was eight days ago and we all survived!! Although things didn't go as planned, they are married and on their honeymoon in the Virgin Islands. It was to be an outside wedding...but it seems we went from snow to rain in Minnesota this year!! Initially our daughter was a bit distraught at this change but realized there was nothing to do but move things inside. Can't have 180 guests outside in the rain!! Everything was beautiful. I sure wish life would slow down a bit. I always think after this it will slow down. After the next event it will slow down and so on. Our three daughters have graduated, two are married with two children and we have 25 days until we "marry off" the third one!! Since she got engaged, we signed papers on a new house, moved in slowly over 6-8 weeks allowing me to clean and paint while it was empty. The final moving day was set for Saturday, April 27th. - I turned 53 years old yesterday!! I married my high school sweetie December 1977, 35 years this year. Three grown daughters, two married, four grand kids - two boys, two girls. The highlights of our lives. God's treat as we get older.
I've been sewing for forty plus years. Started with clothes. Won several ribbons in the county fair. Sewed the majority of the clothes for our daughters until upper elementary school. I also did craft type projects most of which involved sewing. About 20 years ago I started quilting. Not just bed quilts. Table runners,wall hangings other fun stuff. My sewing time is limited due to my disabilities. This is very frustrating. I'm thankful for what I am able to do. God has blessed my family and I in many ways for which I am very thankful.

blogging is time consuming. but fun & sometimes rewarding. i like the blogging forum we have here @ mqp...easy, no pages to update maintain...get a thought, be asked for a how to..jump in do it and then off to something else. also, here on a site like this you aren't relying on linked groups etc. wonderful way to share your thoughts, idea, news ...everything.
