Oopsie Daisy Appliqued and Sewed Wall hanging Quilt.

"beautiful- I am attempting this quilt but I am having trouble with the assembly. I made my blocks 14" ( with the 1/4" seam allowance) but when I laid it out the whole blocks and the half blocks are bigger. They are made with 2 3/4"…"

Snowman Quilt

This is my Snowman Wall hanging Quilt. Started this two years ago and decided to get it done. I sewed all around the figures and the stars in the picture.

Indian Summer 2009 by Darlene Burns

Appliqued Quilt called Indian Summer, (Shower of Autumn Leaves). 48" X 67". I also hand quilted it myself. I have it up on the wall now. Fall is just around the corner.

Profile Information

Tell us about yourself
My husband John and I live out in the Country on four acres with our two horses. We are both retired. We love to go camping and traveling. We are both Christians and help where there is a need. Between the two of us there are 6 children, 15 grand-children and 16 Great- Grandchildren. I have made several quilts for family members. Love to quilt. Our Church quild meet twice a month and make quilts for Pregnancy Crisis Center and Battered Women here in Yakima, WA. We made over a 100 quilts last year.
How many quilts have you made?

Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?
I love making quilts and enjoy seeing them on my wall and bed.
How long have you been a quilter?
Made two quilts in the early 1982 for my parents and then stopped quilting until 2005. So since then it has been 7 years.
What is your favorite quilting technique?
Applique
Why do you quilt?
Quilting starting as helping the ladies at church make quilts for the needy people and then I started making quilts for me and my family. I just love sewing it all together and seeing the results of my labor.
