Tell us about yourself

I'm retired and have been sewing since I was about 10 yrs old. Learned from both my mother and grandmother. I made clothes for my kids while they were growing up (3 girls & 1 boy). I love the feel of fabric and just love working with my hands. So for the 20 yrs, I have been making quilts for grandchildren. I also love to applique along with paper piecing and piecing. Currently, I am learning to use EQ7 and have enjoyed the challenge. I would like to design my own quilts. I have never done a mystery quilt but would love the challenge. Never to late to try new things.

How many quilts have you made?

Gosh I have no idea, but somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 from baby quilts to queen size.

Do you want to make quilts, or simply enjoy them?

Yes I love making quilts.

How long have you been a quilter?

I been making quilts since 1998 but more seriously for the past 12 years.

What is your favorite quilting technique?

Hand applique work

Why do you quilt?

I love the idea of making beautiful quilts for those I love.
