hi beth.
i did not know that moscow had suffered so in thos storms. my dh hubby and i watched/read w horror & heartbreak as the news of the terrible distruction hit places we had visited, lived & had friends/family living in. seemed most of our personal places suffered less than many. we had a young neighbor that i became close with during our shot time in moscow. we wrote for a while after we moved on. then he wrote that he was going to live w his grmother in florida...talk about out of the frying pan into the fire! anyway, kyle was our last contact with moscow. my little one and i loved it so much. wonderful little community..wonderful memories..it was there that the rogue mommy decided it was time her little perpetual motioner could join me in my pinball frenzy, that we saw our first cardinals - out on snow covered branches like bright christmas ornaments, a site we came to treasure in sev states during our yrs in the east. thank you for letting me know, i plan to tell dh tonight when he gets home. he can ck w the other guys & see if any of them had heard. the construction company for which dh works is like a huge family...many of us have traveled the usa to the same jobs together, same crews. personal fam/freinds living all over the usa. i am surprised that we had not heard. thank you.

Wow!  You sure have a lot of friends up here!  Have you ever gone to the Sisters quilt show?  I haven't and I really hope to be able to go some day.  It's probably about an 8 hour drive from here, but it's a lovely drive in the summertime.

I'm glad to hear your family member is improving; health things can be really scary.  I'm going through a scare right now and I'm trying to not freak out!  My kidney function isn't what it should be, and I'm not diabetic, so they don't know what's causing it.  Anyway, I'm glad you have happy news!

Where do you live?  Are you close to Seaside?  It's pretty nice here, but it would be nicer is we had some better shopping places.  We have one grocery store, Safeway, and they can get away with high prices because there isn't any competition.  I wish a Cub foods or something would come here.  And a Walmart!  That would be so great!

Anyway, I'm glad you had a nice birthday!
