I am a self taught male quilter. Took my wife to work and bought a Paaf machine ans se dozens of ttote baags ams deniem quilts for male teenage boys at the children's hospital. A stroke left me with memory and walking problems and I spent 2 years wondering why I had got the damn machine. WWe had been dumpster diving at a denim coat factory and still have boxes of new denim we are working through. I piece the tops and my wife does the quilting part normally tying them. Now I am 30 completed tops ahead of he and been told to learn to finish them. I am getting better at machine quilting. I have even mastered a straight line most of the time. Also on my second Brother SQ195 - named Mike after a dearly departed friend. I am trying to teach my 12 year old daughter to sew.

Hi Al, my turquoise and brown quilt top was very easy to do, can make in a day, the top anyway. I used the pattern that's on the blue top with similar design. I didn't have enough brown, so had to add another color for filler, this worked out pretty nice. This will go to my niece in CA when she gets married.
