Terrace Wall Curve

To add some beauty, we are adding a curve to the terracing. Soon, we'll do the sheet-mulching and fill with compost, soil and any necessary amendments.

i sorta thoought that on the brick on sides...good idea. we lived in pa for few yrs. clay glacial morain. garden soil just getting good...moved again. here we have lake bottom silt fr catastrophic ice age floods. has consistancy of flour. absorbes water about as well too. thanks for responding to my nosey curiousity.

We have some very thick clay soil, which worked to ground the walls and give it some extra strength. Thus far, no erosion. Plus, with the blocks on their sides on the lowest level, water flow has an escape!

no morter. interesting way of setting. a winter has passed...any probs w washout/erosion beneath the base?
