Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
I started piecing this with little scraps left when cutting fabric for other quilts. Started in January and finished quilting it the next January. I made a sandpaper template and cut hexagons as I made the flowers.

It was a year's project, not exclusively, but during idle times, watching tv, on bus tours, etc. I do machine piece most of my quilts though, and then hand quilt them. My grandmother's flower garden is all hand pieced though. That's the one I won award with. Thank you for the compliment.

Comment by Annette Boersma on February 19, 2012 at 7:10pm Wow, that is inspiring! I love the colors and the way they all just blend together! Fantastic! (I know that's a lot of exclamation points, but that's how I feel :-) Can't wait to see the whole thing!
