Mosaic Horse, Jan 2012 002

This horse has not been quilted yet, so this is just the top piece. This has taken approx. one month of cutting out tiny pieces and laying them on the sticky stuff. I'm glad he's finished, now I can add a border/trim, then quilt.

Leona, Thank you for your comment.  It made me smile.  I have another horse in the making, quite different from my Mosaic Horse.

You have a terrific 'eye' .. I can't even draw LOL  That's why I love geometric shapes and secondary patterns that I can create quilting. I am trying to better my skills but I cannot devote the time to it that I would like. Life happens, work, house, garden, chores ..

Hello Deanna......Oh, a new subject, that'd be great!  I've always loved horses.....so beautiful, aren't they?  Oh, I didn't see your earlier comment.  I used fusible steam-a-seam 2, although it is not applique, just rough edges.  I did take a bit of glue to some edges.  I am thinking of placing this piece on Etsy.

PS  I'll send you a picture study of both my horses heads .. that will give you something to work on  LOL

I am a horse addict too ;>  Love this .. is this fusible applique or paper piecing ?  Can't wait to see what the quilting will add to it !

Hello Jacqueline, Thank you for your nice comment.  I love horses, always have.  I've finished with the quilting and only have the outside trim to do.  After that time I will post again.  Again, thank you.
