You do so nicely with these stars, Dee. I love your boarders.
I've never used the quiltsmart. I just make strips, sew, then cut at the diagonal 45. I can make my diamonds as big or as small as I want. Yes, I understand what you're talking about. I am sure she will enjoy for a long time, and is thankful for a wonderful gift from her sister.
Callie, thank you. The center is the 58" foundation from QuiltSmart. I chose a 12" block and put 1/2 the blocks in a row on the bottom and 1/2 on the top.. voila .. changes special :) I think it is a small queen as finished. The center star is floating with a 1" border, and then the 12" blocks would widen that to 60", then I added 3" green, 2" pink and then the outer print, but I added a wider print at the top and bottom to lengthen it .. does that make sense? And she still does, she actually turned 24 this year, soon to be 25 .. smh where does the time go ?
How Big? How was the border done? Very pretty, bet she loves it!!
