ok...lollol...i am so excited for you in the "mine, all mine!" category. one of my current projects will be a mine all mine...first one since the "after work, gotta do something for fun since every one is a sleep & i got these pretty/awful fabric sqauares at flea market" which took me 13years and numerous quilts for other people to finish. the "new jersey twilight" i have posted here. the blu & yellow that i am working on the applique borders of, was to be a mine all mine..i love blue & yellow. but it will be going to a dear friend that dh works with and that friend and i have a lot of memories of out reaching one another for books at library sales and estate sales around the country..following the construction job circuit. he did a painting of my yard that is sooooo much more lovely than the garden is, but represents what i hope it will be when i am finished w it. so..a quilt for him. he doesn't know. dh is mr macho..says "hmph! why do you think he would want a quilt?" because not all construction workers are like you, my beloved. some like a quilt for a painting...and it will be loved. 'course, i enjoy our friends' poetry more than dh does, too. lollollol!

Rogue, yes I'm going to self-publish it .. hoping to do pdf format actually. This is MINE, all MINE  LOL  I made this same block for a sister-friend in '05, fabric was waiting for me to do mine. Which I started 2 months ago with making the EQ draft. Now the center is done, and I'm starting on HST border .. making sure measurements match my EQ measurements etc. And it will become one of my classes as well (xing fingers !)

Thank you Cindy :D  I am now piecing the HST border ..  I need 108 of them ! Have 48 done, another grid ready to be sewn, and I need another 1/2 grid, and then have to square them all  LOL  Practing the writing of the pattern as I go along -- but it's coming !

Thank you Cathy ;D

I've got the center pieced into rows, which now have to be sewn. Next is cutting the border fabrics, testing how to write the pattern for this quilt .. the drawing is in solid colors, I did not put in my fabrics into the program. However, I did use 8 darks/8 lights, no repeats in the blocks. I have the sewn quilt posted in my photos

Since New Years '09 I've been working on DOING those planned projects and I joined the UFO group. Trying to make ME quilts this year .. and this one is MINE  LOL  But I do plan to make a pattern for it and have a few requests ..

I know how to get lost in my group discussions too :D

your border design will really set this off...and apart from the usual, albeit lovely, log cabin quilts.
