irish chain doll quilt for oldest grand treasure ...who is already planning to copy it! :))

i made four doll quilts & two totes (to carry thier knitting/crochet projects) for my grand treasures for christmas this year. this one is for the oldest, the young sewist who has made several quilt tops & two doll dresses so far in her young sewing career. she spread this quilt on the floor, knelt down to examine it, then smiled & said "great! i can copy this!" lol ....that was gramma hams' intention, my little love.

yes it is. i tried to pick patterns that i thought the oldest grand treasure could copy. and as soon as she saw this one, in her favorite color of green ...she layed it out on the floor ..layed down on her tummy and over crossed arms and close up examination, declared that she could "copy this!" :))

Love the choice of colors. Isn't this a rail fence?
