Love your patriotic theme. NQA magazine came. That is the next theme for their national quilt show. You should enter it! Google NQA or Nationa lQuilt Association quult show June 2013.

This pattern would be easy enough to make, back in the day I would"nt have said that, for sure I"ve came along way in creating what I want now. I to have been collecting patriot materails for years. This quilt is about a 40 inch quilt, just big enough to enjoy the fabrics and small enough to hang on the wall

...and that is why it looks familiar. as long as it is not your personal design, and it is in a mag archives, i can make a pattern for it. friend in holland, whom i love to sorta give a bad time to, always sending her american flagy type stuff. told her the olympics in london was a golden opportunity to give boost to economy there...but the "gold" would be coming home to america! lollol!! ..and placing england third in overalls... soooo cool!! but i have a stash bundle of americana type flagy fabs...this q pat would be perfect for. bundle not large, i would do mini, not sure what my final would look like. saw a pic of a tote bag add somwhere recently..tore it out..added it to the ideas growing with the fab bundle.

It did come from a pattern, but it goes back far enough where I probably  won"t find the pattern. My collection of books and magazines is crazy. I have the complete collection of Quilters newsletter, that goes clear back to the dark ages. But some of the patterns back then are irreplacable.And the techniques would make you laugh compaired to what we do now.Still I find that the old ways are still the best.
