Almost at 1,000 hexagons.  My dad has nicknamed this the 60 year quilt because he doesn't think it will get done.

this is just the happiest quilt to be i have ever seen...and layed out on the grass like that...if it were mine i would put big huge frame of grass green all around those bright & happy flowers.
