I cut at least 360 fan blades. I do not cut them precisely. I basically cut rectangles 3 1/2 inches by 8 1/2 inches and then cut them in two diagonally an inch wide on one end and two and a half inches wide on the other. Then I put the cut blades on the frame for sorting into nine for each of 40 blocks.

lol.. if I try and lock the cat out the bedroom, she stands right in front of it all night and hollers at me.. I have a couple of high shelves over my dresser, the top one is maybe 18" from the ceiling, it has a couple blankets folded up on it and that's where she sleeps.. she jumps on the bed, to the dresser, to my jewelry box(it's a tall standing mirror thingy) then from the jewelry box to the shelf. I'm kind of surprised she hasn't hurt herself yet.

We have two cats but they are not allowed in the basement, our bedroom, or the guest room. We use those kiddie gates on the two bedrooms and the basement door remains closed to them. I used the method in this picture to make my postage stamp quilt, sewing ten 13 inch strips together, then cutting them into strips of postage stamps, then sewing those together to get the width of the quilt; then I would join the rows of postage stamps until I had a quilt.

This looks like it would make life easier - but like Mary, I have two cats who would be waaaay too tempted by all those dangly things!  They mostly leave the design board alone, though they do like to hide behind it and pounce upon each other.  Orville, your quilting talents are amazing - haven't seen anything you've posted that I didn't love.

This looks really efficient.  I have trouble with "helpful" cats disturbing my layouts.  Very explicit demonstration.  You could think about doing books.
