I just finished one with hexagons and I call it Pa's Wildflowers. I invite you to go to my quilts and look at it. This quilt of Tami's inspires me to make one with feed sack fabrics. I do that kind of piecing while watching tv or riding on a tour bus or staying in motels. Thanks for the reply.

Yes, this is Tami's quilt. Her aunt made the top MANY years ago. I was told possibly in the 1930's. It's all hand-pieced. The finished size is 57 x 78. I can't image how long it must have taken to make this. And, I'm sure there was no wasted fabric..!

I just looked at your discussions. Is this the quilt you finished for your friend? If so, I commend you. I have done that for a number of people and it is most rewarding to see how happy they are with the finished quilt.

I really like this quilt. I made a couple scrappy hexagon quilts with small patches. I hand quilted mine. I am assuming you hand pieced this. What are the dimensions? How did you choose the fabrics? This is sending me back to the scrap stash. I wonder how long it would take to make a bed size quilt...
