Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
Just in time for this year's cherry season. The outer border is a Provence fabric. The quilt is machine-pieced, hand appliqued and hand-quilted.

Comment by the rogue quilter on August 9, 2012 at 9:23am Thanks for your comments. I am always torn between sophisticated, modern and cute, country, traditional. Haven't found my real calling yet, it seems, as I love too many different styles.
If you are thinking of doing something like this, you could actully stuff the cherries with a little batting from the back. It would perhaps look nice to have them stick out a bit. I didn't do it, just got the idea now.
