Autumn in Michigan

Made for my guild challenge Favorite Michigan Season. Printed fabrics, fusible applique, thread work and machine quilting, applied slid leaves.

Thanks Mary! I collected sky and water fabrics for a Michigan lighthouse quiltyet to be mad. Delved into that stash as you noted! The cabin is inspired by my brother's log cabin in the woods.

Great Job.  How creative to use sky fabric in the brook.  I only know that is sky, because 20 years ago, my sister made an applique quilt of about 14 different light houses in the U.S.  It took her years to complete the quilt, because of the search she had to go through to find different sky fabric, and water fabric.    YOU HAVE done a beautiful JOB.  GREAT PICTURE.  I love you white tail buck, nearing the water, in the clearing, while the remainder of the herd are at the edge of the woods.    PERFECT!  Makes me wish I lived in the house up on the slope.
