Just found this site and am looking all over it.  This is  a lovely choice of  colors/fabrics especially the  Chrysanthemumy brown fabric.  I'm curious why you mitered the brown fabric but didn't the purple. What made  you chose to do that?

barbara...i found the site to buy them  had never heard of them ...i did some small refrig magnets years ago with recycled styrofoam. didn't know there were kits out there. it is fun to do...and they really look cool. the site is ..     http://www.artsi2.com/page3.php?view=productListPage&category=5  ..shows all the kits available. very reasonable prices too.

I love this.  Such precision and the colors are perfect!

These are available in a 6"x6" size. Wouldn't make a good trivit too hard to clean.  But it would be great in wood or tile.  Great idea !!

Wouldn't it be great to have this made into a trivet, made out of wood or tile?

That's what it looks like to me but I didn't want to insult anyone by implying it wasn't actually a sewn quilt block.

I have seen these as kits.  No sewing.  They are made with a styrofoam board with cut groves in the board. The fabric is just pushed into the groves.  Sometimes the fabric is pre-cut or they give you a pattern to cut your own fabric.  I've also seen these made as Christmas ornaments, very nice & light weight.  I couldn't tell you where to buy them, maybe some else can.
