Quilt #148 - And Jack was Always my Favorite Uncle

Quilt #148 - And Jack was Always my Favorite Uncle

This is a pumpkin quilt I made for myself this summer and fall. The squares are 1-3/4 inches square and the quilting is stitch in the ditch. The center is exclusively pumpkin and jack-0-lantern prints in orange arranged dark to the right and light to the left, crossed with a lime green cat print. I set the center off with a stark black and white Halloween prints checkerboard border and strips of Halloween prints. The back reads: "I never met a pumpkin I didn't like, and Jack was always my favorite uncle." V.B. Allmendinger Leiner, Autumn 2017, Greensburg, Pennsylvania." Ironically, I did have an uncle, Jack Taylor, and he was my favorite, may he rest in peace! Quilt measures about 100 inches square.
