Comment by Debra H Gibbs on October 21, 2012 at 9:41am thanks Mary for the kind words...most of the material wasn't difficult to locate as most of them I just ran across....the fabric for his "Run with the Bulls" in Pamplona was the most difficult...and the most expensive as I paid $25 for a fat quarter...that's a piece of it in the center (the bullfighter). That's the closest I could come. The Paris fabric I purchased on Etsy...that was another story as I ended up having to file a complaint with Etsy and PayPal and ultimately got someone banned from selling on Etsy because they didn't send the material after they were paid for it. I reordered from Etsy and got fabulous San Francisco and Paris fabric from another seller. The fabric from Australia was my first purchase on this journey and I got it on Ebay approximately 10 years ago right after he took his first trip. After this picture was taken I discovered the it wasn't going to be big enough so I took off the first border and added another row of blocks on each side and then readded the border plus another, now it fits a king bed just fine!
Comment by Mary Moore on October 21, 2012 at 12:32am That setting does such a good job of unifying the specialty fabrics(which must have been a real challenge to find). Thanks for the project description. I wish more people took time to explain their goals.
