I love the blue in your kitchen, Barbara.

For the state of Wisconsin, I would like it in multi shades of greens or golden browns, or both as from the air the ground would look like patch work of farm fields of corn etc... I live in Winnebago County. Door County is a  significant place in Wisconsin. My kitchen is country blue which is a real hard blue to match. But I do like folk art which has barn red, blues and greens in it.

I haven't started my pot holders yet due to lower back and knee pain. Can't get around to well yet, but it feels like it's starting to change for the better.

I'm so busy working on round robin quilts, I haven't had a chance to get around to doing a potholder. That's what I get for signing up for 2 round robins!  By the way Secret Santa, my kitchen is sunflowers and fall colors.

Kathy, what is the deadline again?

As far as potholders go, I love bright colors and novelty prints, so if Superman or Betty Boop shows up in my kitchen, none of my relatives would be surprised.

I am originally from a little city, Micanopy, Florida.  It doesn't even have a traffic light. They filmed the movie "Doc Hollywood" there and several of my family members were extras in the carnival scene.  My mom held onto the pig between takes in the movie, she said it was better trained than most people's dogs.  So if Florida shows up in my box, it will hang on my wall in Georgia.

I got my potholder to the binding stage, but am not happy with it, so set it aside for a few days. When I revisit it I will decide to bind it or start over.

We will be leaving on vacation next Saturday ( April 21)

i love shopping for (my recipient) when we travel! Visiting new places, finding new things.

I guess I missed the Fons and Porter with the state blocks. I think it would be great to find a Michigan one in my box! Since Michigan is surrounded by wanted blues, lots of trees - greens,  flowers - I never ask for flowery anything but geese- I’ve had enough gray gloom ( although here we are middle of April & still lots of snow- bare dark trees and gray skies- I would want color, not gloom)

Thank you for the history lesson Mary!

Linda, I would love one for the library.  San Bernardino is the largest county in the world while my Nevada County(here in California) is gun shaped pointing at the state of Nevada for taking our name.  Nevada refers to snow in Spanish.

OK Ginny, if I ever get your name I will remember.
