Hi Chris, I have an embroidery machine as well.  I do like doing projects that are int he hoop.  I do Kiwi Embroidery more than others.  I like how her projects are all in the hoop with little hand sewing.  There are lace ones from Embroidery Library that I like also.  OPW I find that their instructions from some of the vendors are not always the best, but that is another source I use.  There are some unique ones there.  Right now I am making tissue box covers.  Then going to do toilet paper cover as well.  Oops, now my SS knows what she is going to have in her box.  The great thing is that I had the shiny fabric given to me so there is not cost but a little on thread.

That is so adorable Mary, makes me want to play with dolls again.

Who has embroidery machines in the group? What model? What do you do with it most? Do you do in the hoop projects? If so, what designers or sites do you like and what types of projects do you like to make?

I have a Brother Dream Machine. I like to do machine applique with it a lot. I make small projects like mug rugs, table runners, wall hangings etc. It has a built in scanner so I can scan line art make my own embroidery. I really like that. Anyone else have items to share or questions to ask?

That is really cute, Mary. Now if I only had a grand-daughter, do not think mt grandsons play with dolls. LOL

Perfect Mary! It's absolutely darling!

Anyone else have their apron done?

Really in the mood for Christmas temperatures.  So did the little apron project as a gift for a grand daughter's doll.  My doll is modeling in my red kitchen.

Welcome back Ruth Ann!  We are now having an apron contest. Doesn't have to be for your SS since not everyone wears aprons and it doesn't have to be Christmas themed. You have until Sept. 30. Winner gets 2 Minkee charm packs with pattern.

Hi Ladies.  I'm back.  I have had company for almost two weeks and then I was gone all this week.  Busy summer!  I enjoy seeing everyone's projects.  I have been mainly practicing my FMQ or ruler quilting on my Tiara III.  I am taking classes on the internet with the Westalee rulers (Pam Varner - MySassyNotions and Gina Perkes with the Quilt Show.)  I am really enjoying it and practicing will make me better (I hope)  LOL.   Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I was thinking about wrapping a few of my SSS gifts, then realized I would forget what was in them...and have of open them to see.  Maybe a nap is in order.
