Prayers for a speedy recovery, Beth. No fun to be layed up this time of year or any time of year. Take Care.

A big thank you to Ginny, she has called and checked on me since the surgery.  She is truly a good friend.

Trying to get going here.  Long haul this time around.  Went back to work and so tired, not getting anything done.  Today is no different.  Not enough sleep and the foot got infected.  I do not recall having such an ugly black and blue hematoma before.  Alas, will be a few more weeks recoup time.

I really do love the outdoor wild life. Taking a walk in the woods or going camping. I wouldn't mind feeding a squirrel or two if I were on a camping trip. LOL!! Wild turkeys are interesting. A sudden noise of gobble gobble gobble and they run through your camp and then disappear like it's some kind of game. Maybe Canadian squirrels are better behaved then our Wisconsin squirrels. LOL!! Have fun enjoying your Canadian squirrels, Elizabeth. 8 )

Oh Barbara, I'm sorry!  You don't have any nice squirrels in your yard.  I don't have a yard.  My condo looks over a paved parking lot.  I see them from afar.

I'm still working on my Stepping Stones 1 quilt top.  I take too many breaks.

If I may be so bold!! I wouldn't buy it!! The squirrels eat my tomatoes, take one bite and leave the rest in the yard. One squirrel made a hole in the screen and was found on the desk eating a candy bar. I think it was a nut roll. Yes they are cute from a distance, running on the wires and hiding food around the yard. LOL!! If you feed them your in BIG trouble!!!  They will take over. If I were to buy a squirrel fabric I think I could find a better choice. I thought the fabric to be dull in colors. However the quilters did a great job of making an ugly fabric interesting.

I like squirrels too.  When we were in Greece awhile ago, we had a tour guide who seemed to love squirrels and pronounced their name as squeerrels.  Hubby and I thought  it so cute when she pointed them out that we adopted her pronunciation and have always since then called them squeerrels. I didn't think the fabric was ugly either, but it challenged the quiltmakers to think about how to use itl.

My UFO list is down to 29 now.  I've had some help.

I have no idea, I just thought they were really super nice and loved them.  Personally I like the crazy quilt and the lone star, but that is just me.  I did not make one, didn't know about the contest.  I love squirrels and can't believe it is ugly fabric.

Hi Beth,

I looked on the Cary Quilts site and voted for my favourite.  Is there a quilt in the contest that we should be voting for?  I mean is there a quilt made by someone we know?
